Literature Circles address the four lenses of learning simultaneously!

Students come together to discuss their individual interpretations of a short story, novel, poem, or piece of non-fiction.

Social lens= students all discuss in groups of 5-7 (Summarizer, Discussion Director)
Meaning-centered lens=students are encouraged to make connections with their real-world experiences by sharing (Connector)
Human-centered lens=students' voices are all equal and are all heard (Illustrator, Discussion Director)
Language-based lens=students are reading, writing, speaking, and listening
